Dr. Chad Anderson is a sports-focused Doctor of Chiropractic specializing in athlete performance, return-to-play decision-making, and golf-specific development. He is the Founder and Director of Own Your Swing Golf Performance & Recovery and serves as Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for Golf Nova Scotia’s Junior Development and High-Performance pathways. His practice bridges clinical care with strength and conditioning, using objective performance metrics and evidence-based loading strategies to help athletes move better, perform stronger, and stay durable long term.

Originally from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Dr. Anderson played competitive hockey before completing high school at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Saskatchewan. He went on to compete at the Junior “A” level, followed by a collegiate career at Norwich University in Vermont, where he won an NCAA Division III National Championship in 2010. He later completed two seasons of professional hockey in Germany before transitioning fully into performance coaching and sports medicine.

Dr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Norwich University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. During his chiropractic training, he worked as a Sports Medical Trainer while also contributing to biomechanical research projects. He is currently completing a Sports Sciences Residency with the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada), further advancing his expertise in high-performance care.

Clinically, Dr. Anderson provides evidence-based chiropractic care while integrating progressive rehabilitation and performance training. His approach emphasizes identifying physical limitations, biomechanical inefficiencies, and movement imbalances that may contribute to injury or limit athletic potential — then building individualized programs using objective testing and long-term athlete development principles.

In addition to his clinical and coaching roles, Dr. Anderson provides sport-side medical coverage at provincial, national, and international events, working both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. His experience includes major competitions across hockey, golf, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and figure skating.

Dr. Anderson also maintains active involvement in research, with published scientific work and conference presentations reflecting his commitment to evidence-informed practice. He is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Anderson enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and sharing life with friends and family — including his wife and their animals.
